Investment experience: 28 years; 28 years with firm

Janis has been with the firm since 1980. In addition to her responsibilities as an investment counselor, she is also the firm's chief compliance officer and the editor of The 9:05, its quarterly newsletter. Janis earned her BA in economics and history from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1977. She also performed two years of graduate work at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is a past president of the CFA Society of San Francisco and an active member of the CFA Institute. Janis currently serves on the board of managers of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA) in the State of California and is secretary of the NSCDA's national museum properties committee.
